OBJECTS
CURATED BY SOPHIE PINET

Possessing an aesthetic awareness that has always extended beyond fashion, Soeur is celebrating
beauty in all its forms through a selection of objects made with journalist and consultant Sophie Pinet.

Following its association with the Indaburoko Borda duo in 2022, Soeur continues to explore
craftsmanship and its role in the Maison by inviting Sophie Pinet to choose some twenty objects
that compose an ideal collection echoing their shared sensibility.

A Pierre Culot tea set, hand-blown Murano glass, handcrafted rugs with geometric motifs, a candle
from Studio Oliver Gustav, posters by Cy Twombly for the Yvon Lambert gallery in the 70s: the series
combines dozens of objects by different international designers, artists and artisans, ranging from
decorative objects to everyday implements. In their forms, materials and precision conception, they
each convey a certain aesthetic quality prized by Soeur, combining the beautiful,
the useful and the pleasurable.

« THE IDEA BEHIND THIS SELECTION WAS TO BRING TOGETHER ESSENTIAL PIECES FOR THE
HOME THAT ARE BEAUTIFUL, SIMPLE AND USEFUL. PIECES MADE WITH COMMON
SENSE IN MIND, WITH NO STYLISTIC FLAIR, TO THE POINT OF BECOMING CLASSICS.»

Previously renowned for uncovering unique talents and places for the magazine AD France, Sophie Pinet now operates as a
consultant in the world of luxury and publishes books devoted to the visual obsessions of contemporary photographers. That is,
of course, when she’s not lending her sharply honed eye to Soeur to reveal its own.
